YKAN develops forest-friendly commodities partnerships in East Kalimantan and micro-financing for sustainable livelihood development. YKAN also supports gender equality in economic development by facilitating community products that local women and youth groups produce.

As of 2021, YKAN has supported 43 village flagship product types (non-commodity) developed by 8 business groups from 22 villages in Berau Regency. The members of these business groups received capacity improvement to enhance their product quality, product packaging, market access, distribution, and product development plans.

Thank you, YKAN, for the packaging improvement and training. We can keep producing from twice a week to four times a week. Especially when we receive many requests, we can be productive for days.
