Every year on 4 December, the world commemorates World Wildlife Conservation Day.

This moment serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of protecting wildlife and the habitats on which they depend. Among the species that often capture global attention is the orangutan, a great ape found only in the tropical rainforests of Sumatra and Borneo.

Orangutan life is becoming increasingly precarious, a topic frequently covered in the media and on social platforms. Their rainforest homes are shrinking, pushing them closer to human settlements. As their habitat diminishes, orangutans are increasingly venturing into plantations and mining areas, which were once part of the forests they depend on.
